  • Avery Larsen

    Avery Larsen is a Junior Marine Biology major with a deep love for the environment and the organisms that thrive in these diverse environments, especially marine flora! She is passionate about the outdoors, and enjoys hiking and camping as a way to connect with nature. Avery joined the ESLP during their freshman year, a decision that became one of their most rewarding experiences. They value the strong community ESLP fosters while working toward proactive and lasting environmental change.

    Zoe is an Environmental Science major driven by her fascination of the interconnectedness of ecosystems. She joined ESLP to help contribute to positive environmental change on campus. Outside of school, she enjoys reading and hiking.

    Jose is a third-year Environmental Sciences and Legal Studies major. He is passionate about addressing the root causes of the climate crisis and hopes to contribute to creating sustainable solutions. Outside of academics, he enjoys cooking, baking, socializing, and spending time with his two pet rats, Pete and Pip.

    Avery is a second-year Environmental Studies major with a deep passion for sustainability and environmental protection. From a young age, they were taught the importance of respecting the environment, which inspired them to pursue solutions to combat climate change. Through ESLP, Avery also sought to connect with like-minded individuals who share a commitment to protecting the planet. In their free time, they enjoy hiking, skiing, cooking, spending time with loved ones, playing soccer.

  • Brianna DuPre

    Brianna is a second year Environmental Studies major and Literature minor, who joined ESLP in her first year to meet like-minded students on campus who want to protect the planet. ESLP has provided her with a welcoming space to engage with the community and raise awareness about environmental issues. She cares deeply about addressing climate change, and is especially interested in topics of environmental justice, advocacy, and ecological restoration. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and going for walks outdoors.

  • Kev Young

    Kev is a 3rd year transfer student majoring in Community Studies and minoring in jazz improvisation. Their passion for positive social change and healing the world and all its inhabitants brought them to Community Studies and to ESLP. In their spare time, you can find Kev recording music and podcasts about Star Trek and other pop culture.

  • Camila Hernandez Villalobos

    Camila is a first year environmental science major. She joined ESLP to work alongside others who share her values of protecting the environment while it is still possible. In her free time, Camila enjoys reading and playing video games in her spare time.

  • Madi Bock

    Madi is a second year Marine Biology and Environmental Sciences major. Being raised around the ocean and the trees led to her deep love of nature and her determination to protect it. In her spare time, you can find her taking photos, scuba diving, and crocheting mushrooms. She also enjoys traveling and learning about how different cultures handle environmental issues and their unique practices.

  • Lilian Bramlett

    Lilian is a 4th year environmental studies major who loves to play guitar, to read, and to be out in nature. She joined ESLP to be able to bridge and share her passions for sustainable living and learning.

  • Madeline Smith

    Madeline is a 1st year psychology major. She joined ESLP because she is passionate about the environment and wants to make a positive change. She loves to do yoga and eat sushi!

  • Jasper Kallsen

    Jasper is a third year Environmental Studies major and History of Art and Visual Culture minor. They are deeply passionate about the environment and protecting its wildlife. Jasper has joined ESLP recently and has found the program to be amazing for conversation around sustainability and helping UCSC to become more environmentally friendly. Beyond academics and ESLP, he loves baking, cooking, drawing, and spending time with their friends.
